I-83 Bridge Reopens After 'Police Incident': PennDOT (Update) A "police incident' halted all traffic on Interstate 83 in Central Pennsylvania, authorities announced on Thursday night.  The police incident on I-83 North happened in the northbound lane of South Bridge around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 24, according to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler.  The area closed was from Exit 41B for Lemoyne to Exit 43 for Capitol/2nd Street. Crash Closes Part Of I-83 In Central PA: PennDOT A crash has closed all lanes of traffic along Interstate 83 by Harrisburg Mall, according to PennDOT.  The crash happened just before 11 a.m. on I-83 southbound between Exit 45 - Paxton St/Bass Pro Drive and Exit 44B - 17th Street, according to PennDOT. All lanes remained closed as of 11:30 a.m. The crash appears to involve a microbus or passenger van, based on the traffic cameras in the area.  There is no word on any injuries.
