'Heart Of Gold': Loved Ones Mourn CT Man Shot, Killed While Watching 'Toy Story' With Child
A 39-year-old Connecticut father who was fatally shot while watching a movie with a 12-year-old child is being remembered for his kindness and generosity.
Andrew Michael Olson, of Canterbury, was shot in the chest around 9:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, inside a home on Pratt Road in Killingly, police said.
Michelle Yeagher, 65, was arrested and charged with the killing, Connecticut State Police said.
A family member launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Olson’s family cover funeral expenses. The fundraiser had collected $3,600 of its $4,500 goal as of Thursday afternoon.

CT Man Killed After Falling 16-Feet At Church Construction Project
A 65-year-old man who fell 16-feet from scaffolding at a Waterbury church on Monday morning, Oct. 20, has died of his injuries, authorities said.
Waterbury first responders were. called to Our Lady of Lebanon, at 1544 Hamilton Ave., around 7:15 a.m. to reports of a man falling from a height of 16-feet and sustaining severe head damage, police said.
Alair Rosa Deoliveira, of Danbury, was taken to an area hospital for emergency care, but doctors could not save him, Waterbury police said.

CT Husband, Wife Killed In Crash Were 'Foundation Of Our Lives,' Daughter Says
A family is mourning the sudden loss of a Connecticut husband and wife who were killed in a car crash in New York’s Hudson Valley.
Radjindre Soekha, 65, and his wife Poernawatie Badal-Soekha, 61, both of Waterbury, Connecticut, were killed early Thursday, Oct. 9, when their Toyota Corolla collided head-on with a Ford F-150 on Kings Highway in Saugerties, as Daily Voice reported.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. when the Toyota, driven by Radjindre, crossed into the northbound lane near Sinsapaugh Lane and struck the pickup truck.

Sadness spread across Fairfield County this weekend in the wake of the death of Nicole Somma.
The 38-year-old Norwalk resident died peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 10, according to her obituary on the Raymond Funeral Home website.
